Middle Earth... I mean New Zealand

Reasonable internet access is scarce in New Zealand when driving around in a small minivan with a bed in the back. Hence the lack of posts - right now we have free wifi while waiting for a brewery tour at McCashin's Stoke Brewery in Nelson, NZ - center of Kiwi craft beer.

We are here, and it is great. Yes, it is a LOT like BC - we felt at home as soon as we stepped off the plane in Christchurch. Yes, it is more temperate than Australia, no danger if roasting to death. And yes, there is great craft beer culture here - which we have been investigating a bit. :-)

We'll post something more fulsome when we get a chance. Until then, it's off for more Maori culture, Sauvignon Blanc wine and Motueka hops.

  1. The bit about the Internet is so true. I just came back from a trip to New Zealand, and it was hard to find decent Wi-Fi hotspots while were on the road.
